Double-Clad Fiber

Double-clad fibers (DCFs) from Castor Optics serve as the foundation of our double-clad fiber coupler (DCFC) products, developed to meet the needs of various specialized applications, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), confocal microscopy, or LiDAR. Our DCFs are optimized for a wide selection of wavelength range. The inner cladding diameter is tailored to optimize light collection—making it suitable for fluorescence imaging or spectroscopy—or to ensure effective confocal collection.

Our double-clad fibers are available for different single-mode operating wavelengths and for different inner cladding diameters. Selection will depend upon the target modality.

All fibers are available in bare or connectorized form, such as a pigtail or patch cord. Refer to the table below for all available customization. Other options may be available on request, so please contact our team to find out more.
