Interferometers and Compact Subassemblies

Our interferometers and compact subassemblies aim to increase performance, reduce size, and facilitate the handling and system integration of multiple couplers.

Our interferometers are specially designed to maximize the capabilities of our double-clad fiber couplers for dual-modality imaging. The assemblies are available for combined optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fluorescence imaging or combined OCT and confocal microscopy. They feature optimized connectors for reduced back-reflections and low auto-fluorescence packaging for improved performance.

Our compact subassemblies make integrating multiple couplers and fiber optic components easier. Based on your selected components, we can suggest a compact design with optimized splices, fiber leads management, and connector options suited to your system’s setup.

Overview

Our interferometers are available for different OCT configurations, from a two-coupler compact assembly to a more complex assembly suited for dual-balanced detection. They all include a specifically designed wideband Wavelength Division Multiplexer (WDM) for the optimal combination of two laser sources and one of our DCFCs.

The configuration and package size are always chosen based on the project's specific needs.
